Exploring Middle East

Last week was sooo busy week at work, sigh!and it killed me... i hope that explains why I hardly update my blog.But...next weekend we planned to for a holiday getaway again....this time our destination is Beirut Lebanon. Heard it's cool! Gonna find out soon. Since we are already in Middle East so...it is quite reasonable to explore it, because that might cost you much if u travel a long way from Malaysia. This time around will be 4 or 5 of us in pax. Hope it is nice..
Looking back where I started in Middle East which was 0n Nov 07, started in Dubai for few months and moved to Doha for good, beginning in the mid of March till now. Its been a year!!...well so it is reasonable enough to explore right hahaaha.. By right apart from Dubai, I have been to Oman and Bahrain. Last night when I attended dinner of "get together" we were informed that MAQ will conduct an Umrah and visit trip this coming April, aha...sounds interesting... really looking forward to follow. So another one will be slashed in the list (eventho been there before).

Let see what I have explored so far! Fasten your seat belt!

Dubai....one of the most popular city in United Arab of Emirates, being known as heaven for shoppers. Owns an advancement in developments, wish to have all of " the most" so called things in the world...so far they have "The Highest Building"..."The most expensive"..."The ...??"...and so on. The sky crappers in Dubai are growing so rapid. and i hope that explains why 60% of the world cranes are all in Middle East. Not quite sure bout the rest, but it is indeed shopping paradise!

Next is Oman, We travelled to Musandam part which is on the East side of Oman. It’s a curious observation about travelling in Oman is the moment u see the rock mountain that hugs the roads to Musandam. Musandam is separated from the rest of Oman by the east coast of the UAE, this is a very beautiful place with its cultural eccentricities is well worth visited. The dhow that we took served us lunch and free flows of drinks and bunches of fruits and food apart from the unexplained sightseeing!! Basically Oman is so good for nature lover! ( Kenya???)

Bahrain...where the capital of Bahrain is Manama.Basically Bahrain is an island, which Saudi lies on the west side of Bahrain that connected by the causeway. There were few places of interest we went while visiting Bahrain, of course the causeway to Saudi, Bahrain F1, Tree of Life, Forts and famous mosques and Bait Al Quran. Surprisingly that big community of Muslim in Bahrain are consisted of Syiah, and found out that Bahrain is quite liberal as compared to the rest of Middle East countries i have visited. Apart from availability of alcoholic drinks and pork everywhere, Bahrain also has allowed prostitution (as wht I've heard that the nearest neighbours will head on when they r looking for it)....

So...will see what is the next destination will be..

I miss Kenya and....I really do....

I miss Kenya...miss him soooo.....much. Words can't seem to explain.

Who is Kenya?

Kenya is my current cinta hati, a man whom i feel so comfortable with..Humble...down to earth

Why I call him Kenya?

because when we 1st met, he suggested me a vacation to Kenya, (he doesn't know that I'm not a very advanterous person, I was soooo overprotected when I was kid so...blame it to my parent), while Kenya is a very nature lover person...

Why Kenya is so special to me?

because....when i'm with him...my heart flutters, my stomach get butterflies...and the rest of the world seems dissappear

what ever it is....i miss him to bit....i wanna make him knows that none of the day passes me by that i don't remember u...i miss u....and i really do......

Rainning Friday

It's been raining here today in Doha. A friend of mine called me this morning, suggested me to have a view on Doha looks after rain ( not heavy as Malaysia tho), it is flooded everywhere. Yeah...he blame it to the non efficient drainage system here (forgive him, he's not drainage engineer hehe). Well, shall we consider into our design, if we only experience only the most 3-4 raining days within a year?? And even the rain is not like cats and dogs? Yeah i would say no...... what a waste!! be it...
As usual, Friday and Saturday is non working day here, been figuring what to do since last couple of days. Even not much choice that i have, but still.... so.. i proceed with my passion of life.... COOKING!! well i admit....i loooovve cooking (but not housekeeping)...tho am not really good at it and sometime the taste does not turn as it supposed to be. So my experiment today is apple pie!...Since i have 2 apples that lost their crunchiness and its better for me to save it before it ends in the trash bin.

So....it turns to be......tadaaaa!!!

wonder how does it taste??

must be presentable..(mind u!)..well that is my friday morning obsession, we'll see wht's next

W.I.T.N.E.S.S

Last night I watched this programme which was aired in Al Jazeera channel - WITNESS. It is a very good documentary programme which actually reveals the unknown lives of ordinary people across the world. Each episode has very significant value of their own suffer. The witness are among those who really observed the and experienced the situation first hand. I've watched a few before, but last night was really sad, just can't really recall the title, it was about a girl from Palestine in Lebanon Refugee Camp....it was very sad...i would say that actually every part and inches in Palestine is very sad. The story was about a girl who lost her family and never had a chance to see how does her village and Palestinian land. Until one day she was too excited to be told that she will be going to see her own village with his grandfather. The feeling of seeing her own land was like so speechless, it was up to the extend that she actually bring back the soil from there and wrap up little bit in the envelope and mail it to her friend who is staying in another refugee camp.....how sad...
It showed also the situation when the time they were allowed to meet the relatives who stayed in the other side of the border... This time it really shed my tears, to see them looking for their relatives by addressing "I'm the grandson of someone bin someone", hugging and kissing among themselves through the fence. Looking at this I really can't hold my tears, just can't imagine how the Israel soldiers who were on duty have hearts to see all those. While these Palestinian never give up on hope...far inside their heart they r still hoping to get back their land. Let us pray for them and hoping that the best will be for them.....Ameen

Yuhuuuu!! I'm B.A.C.K

Hi...

am back!! just can't figure out why rasa terpanggil nak update the blog. Since dah lama dah tinggal, sawang pon byk, so kena uplift skit nak bg ade semangat. dat's why la kena tukar background skali.

By the way, its been so long since my last post,so byk la event2 yg sepatutnya di share bersama, but not to look back again, we just start from here then....

It is 2009 now, another two more months will mark my 1 year in Doha. 2008 has passed by with million of memories, but the most unforgettable one of course the recent tragedy which was War in Gaza. Day by day passing by with the rising toll of death. Innocent children were dying so young..for not knowing what was the aim of Israel. It somehow made me retrieve their history to find out who is who, why and what. It took me far back as far as our prophet time. No word can measure how sad and difficult life they have gone through, but the tears really choke me.......

Simon Oh Simon...

This was happened during one of the day i was on medical leave....Simon is leaving Hyder.

Simon is my line manager, in fact he was the one who interviewed me before i was accepted to Hyder Doha. Having the same knowledge (he is more of course) in MX, he has a trust in me. At first...i wasn't really comfortable with him. He's kind of people tht always potrait himself as a boss, not like any other manager, they work as a team..may that the culture of Asian...well not to say so....My previous Mr Yap tak pon mcm tu...hhmmm whatever...every people has their own style. But Simon has taught me so much within so limited time, he told me tht he didnt feel this chalengging enough for him, may be its a bit bored since heh as a very wide experience on highways....so he wanna explore more to pursue his career goal...anyway Simon Poh good luck and all the best to u....sorry for calling u Simba (i hope u won't read my blog ever!!!!) Kalau tak i will be dead meat...Bye Simon....All the best!!

Me and Simon in one of the team party at Movenpick

Hmmm...does he looks like Simba anyway?

Bye Simon....Think of us with LOVE

I was quite fortunate to be able to see Simon in embassy for Merdeka celebration together with 1st terawikh (of course Simon not included in terawikh). I was so sorry tht was not in his previous farewell lunch tht was held in office. Simon said shud be fine,he knew i was not well. Simon told me he will be moving to Dubai..told him i hope u r not joinning the company that i left, he said no the new company tht he will be joinning is better for him and may be he will get a better post tht what he's having currently. i knew about it...i've been there with my heart out in my hand...U can never enjoy ur life if ur work is not compatible with u. But at least Simon had given himself a chence for almost a year. Apart from tht, Malaysian in Hyder Doha getting less and less. Now only left Zaireen, Vincent and Me. Well..thts wht we call life...No one has a string attached!

U don't know what you've got till its gone

Hey...here we go again...

i know i promised to update my blog everyday ever since my 27th days to go countdown, but it was really unexpected...i felt sick....huhuhhuh. Sbb tu la org ckp appreciate la masa kita sihat sblm kta sakit. I admited tht i jarang sakit...very rare.... Alhamdulillah, but this time was so unbearable..It started like this....

as i was working in the office suddenly i felt lower back aching...told my fren but they just took it for granted since i wasn't screaming in pain...coming back home i apply some ointment to make it relief...but it didn't help much...my body was full of gas....wasn't unable to take food...and wasn't able to go to toilet. I have been thinking....wht have i done wrong to myself?? salah makan ke??? So i end up dgn tak pegi keje...the next morning i pay a visit to the hospital. The pain become worst after i started vomit out every food intake....sigh...weather was so unpleasant...Ramdhan is coming soon...my parents are far apart...to let them know this is huge mistake....esp my mother..i know she will call me every 10 minutes just to get to know the latest condition eventho there's nothing in between the time...the next day i was so miserable...no choice we have to wake our neighbours up to send me to the hospital...Pity them...dah la the husband will working the next morning....and too bad also they can just managed to sleep only few hours since they have to wake up again for sahur at 3.00 am......Sorry Zul and Humaira...i really have no choice

In Doha Clinic Hospital tht night i was reffered to emergency unit, they diagnosed ma and i had abdominal x ray....upper and lower back...the doctor said there's nothing irregular...even the distribution of gas also seems to be normal?? Then wht is the hell i'm suffering??? Oh god.....masa ni la there were thousands of questions pop into my mind...

-should i resign after this (its always ggod to have ur parents around whenever u r sick)

-was it something bad tht i'm gonna discover through time?

-can i trust the doctor here? (not because of their qualification but they might wrongly interprate wht i have told them)

-how can i survive the balik raya journey? it's an 8 hours flight back home

i couldnt sleep for few nights...been crying alone on bed at night...the excitement of balik raya was canceled of by this pain.

Now i'm still on medication, life now is reall depending on the medicine, once u missed them, only god know how will u suffer. Anyway I will bring back all the files and x rays film to get 2nd opinion from the doctor in Malaysia.....tht will be another 6 day to go...or shud i say 5 je sbb skrg ni pon dah dekat pkl 11...so kita bundarkan je la.Whatever it is....I'm still happy and looking fwd to go back...MALAYSIA!!!! HERE I COME!!!!

So all and all it's been 5 times my visit to the same hospital with 3days of medical leave issued to me..and the amount of claim for the medicine close or maore than QR1000.00...Huh!! but i can't still figure out wht was the caused of the pain.....Anyway thanx to Dr Nabil Fadhel Suleiman for keep bugging into u...
