I like to MOVE it MOVE it.....

We are moving to a new house,..again??? well actually we moved whenever every season change hahaaha.. Prior to our contact in the current house end, we begged Afatb (rent collecter of the current house) to release us early. For some reason la kitorang pindah ni
  1. Because we r expanding….no…no…not in terms of size, neither me nor my flat mate, but we are increasing in number….no….we r not pregnant nor expecting…but we have new member. We are 3 now
  2. Dah boring kat tempat lama, dulu we moved there dulu pon sbb wanna enjoy the Malaysian neighbourhood. After every each of them decided to move to other place, we were left alone. And now we r enjoying the multi nation punya neighbourhood plak….i guess cukup la dengan comp yang multi nation hehe
  3. Sebab the rental has dropped down, imagine la dulu rumah yg kat Bank Street tu we paid 10K for only two rooms, and now we can get only 11K for 3 rooms. So kira worth it la jugak, otherwise the same house dulu would cost us 13K, so sian gak la kat sape2 yg dah bye sewa sampai 2 thn sekali gus tu ( Yang tau, tau )
  4. We just wanna have the proper house, rumah yg lama tu doesn’t allow us to have any guest, we have no common area in that place. Lagipon segan jugak la dok asyik kena ajak makan sana sini, org nak buat lawatan balas tak boleh… so lepas ni boleh la buat makan2 kat rumah kitorang plak (kot)… pot luck ke…hehehe (tetap kan??)
  5. Sebab the season has changed…hehehe…I did mentioned up there that for every season changed, we must have moved.

Tu la serba sedikit pasal kitorang pindah ni, but the hassle that we went through to get the house ni tuhan je la yang tau….. Susah tok sah ckp la… hampir2 nak give up! Tapi apa2 pon, its not the end of the world.. we finally made it.

Today remarks my 1st anniversary residing in Doha. I can still recall my first impression here after Ahmad (the office driver) and Zaireen fetched me from airport. It was a mixed up feeling. Nak kata homesick sangat pon tak jugak, nak kata tak homesick langsung pon....errmmm macam tak jugak..hehehe (whom am i kidding).May be due to the experienced of being away in Dubai few months prior to joining the current company, plus this offer was much more organised as compared to my earlier offer that I had in Dubai. Just imagine I got my travel ticket on the day that I should have departed.....What a mess!!

My departure to Doha was a bit calm, it was Thursday night if I'm not mistaken. kat KLIA pon x busy sgt, everything went quite smooth. Travelling alone..but not for the 1st time, I have transited in Doha twice on my to and from Dubai before. Slept pretty sound in the flight, i guess i was too tired. Was waken up once for the meal and I just ignored my second meal.
Upon the arrival, we went to collect my freight that i have sent earlier from Qatar Airways Cargo Office. After that I was driven to company's apartment in Bin Omran. I was placed there for the 1st few weeks.

My flatmate that time was Sherryl and Ami. They were both secondment from Hyder Manila Office. Sherryl was very chatty that made me feel easily adjusted to her, while Ami was not around the moment I reached there. After a little bit of washed up, Zaireen and i went to City Centre. We took late breakfast and get few things from C4, came back to my flat to get few pieces of clothes, the we both went back to Zaireen's place. On our way, we stopped by in Qtel office to get a sim card.

I still remember, as we reached Zaireen's place, her flatmate Lam cooked fried beehoon. One Singaporean lady (Lam's guest) was around chit chating with her.I really can't recall what was happening that night, but for sure I slept so well. It took me a while to adjust myself with local time. I was too depending to Zaireen on my first few months here. Sian dia... But Thanks a lot to u nyah....I owe u loads!! Tuhan je yg akan membalas jasa baik u!

The very next day I went back to my flat and Sunday was my 1st day reporting to Hyder Office. After a short briefing by HR staff, I was brought by Simon Poh (my line manager) to site office.
Untill now i have been placed there and sometime back to work in the main office when i have to....So itu la serba sedikit how the story goes...

Now it has been a year I'm here....there's up and down, high and low.....it will just happen...no matter where u are. One thing for sure, I hope each day will bring out the best in me to be a better person. Berapa lama nak stay sini??? Well i keep asking myself the same question also...but until now i still haven't figure out the answer.Life is measured by our ability to our own enviroment, may be when there's something in life that i think it has already been accomplished, that will be the most comfortable time for me to move to the next step....
Life is about planning. We plan our work and then we work our plan... Wish me the best of luck in life!

We are missing you HOLGER....

Last friday Holger went back to Dublin office as he has ended his period of secondment in Doha. Been working directly with him since last Aug 08. Since we have no P.M at the moment, I have to play a role to organize something for Holger in a way to say Thank You, further more our team has been loaned to few other project untill we recieve the next traffic report, thus we are everywhere now...some in the main office and some in the site office. So as a get together before he leave, we went for bowling last tuesday and on his last working day we had a sending off party for him in Chilis Restaurant near Ramada.

Knowing Holger as a very efficient and organize senior, it was kind of pleasure working with him

wonder what was happening to Alfon..his eyes upside down, by right we just play bowling, we didnt drink anything except water haha

Another week gone...none the wiser....

Pejam celik pejam celik we are entering the third month of this year, cepat betul rasa. For the past two weeks I was very busy with work even tho my current project on hold due to pending next stage of traffic report from other consultant. At the moment I am seconded to the other project- still the same development but different subhead.

Best jugak, back to what I was doing before in Malaysia. Talking about work, I was really shock with some breaking news and restructuring of the organization chart.End of last week I received an email from the Project Director saying that our Project Manager being ceased form the company. We were really shocked with the news, the termination was effected immediately. What he was doing that he deserved this kind of treatment?? My PM is a very nice man, he will always return ur email just to wish "Thank U" whenever we deliver work to him.... None of my peer has done this before..It doesn't cost much but, trust me it somehow encourage u in some way.

We were really in puzzle to receive this shocking news.. but none of us dare to ask anybody who we think might know the reason why. Remembering his kindness, sometime I almost shed my tears, trying to fit in his shoe... if it is happening to me...I don't think I can cope with it. This morning one Thank U card has been circulating around the office to bid him farewell. I don't know how he handle this situation, but if its fine for him we really looking forward to see him or at least have lunch or dinner together.

I wrote to him - Paul, this goodbye bring wishes that u will find a warm welcome wherever u go and great success in whatever u do, remember that the strongest people are not those who win,but those who stand up back when they fall. I also addressed that it was such a pleasure working with him.

Most of the wishes from our colleagues really touches my heart. I pity him that he has to go through this kind of situation. But i hope that he know that we really meant every words that we wrote there

I hope he's strong to face this. Paul, hopefully the reading club will make it to the premier league again, as champion will always come back stronger. ALL THE BEST!!

we will surely miss u!
